For the week of 11/12/14
This week, we made military people holding thank you notes from the students. They turned out adorable! We are giving them to the veterans we know or sending them to the VA Hospital.
On Monday, the day before Veteran's Day, I took the thank you notes over to the Veteran's Outreach Clinic in Orem. I told the veteran at the main desk that my first graders (no school given) wanted to give these thank you notes to any of the veterans who needed a pick-me-up. He smiled as he read the top two notes. Then as he glanced at the rest, he said, "A lot of work went into these. They're going to get a kick out of them!"
