Most of the pages in the calendar the students made have a poem that go with them. I did decide to leave out the Valentine's poem. It was a poem generator from a Franny K. Stein book. The kids thought it was quite funny/shocking, but knowing the families, I wasn't so sure they'd want to read it every day for a whole month! Instead, the students put all of their poems into a little "book" and took them home today. Here are a few of my favorites:
